These programs are designed for current Grade 6 HDSB students that do not consistently attain Level 3 on their report card. Students may enroll in both the Math and Literacy camps (one per session) or choose just one camp.
The Grade 6 Math Camp is a virtual learning program that focuses on building students’ confidence and engagement while exploring key mathematical concepts. Over the 8 days, this Camp will offer a variety of problems, activities and challenges that will deepen students’ mathematical understanding as well as support their development of a growth mindset.
The Grade 6 Literacy Camp is a virtual learning program for students who do not consistently achieve a level 3 on their report card. Over the 8 days, students will engage in activities that focus on reading and writing with the intention to deepen their understanding and strengthen key literacy skills to support them in grade 7.
Students are not able to reach ahead (e.g. if your child is currently in Grade 6, they cannot take the Grade 7 courses).
